Colombo Morenicol Lernex Pro (1ltr)

Colombo Morenicol Lernex Pro (1ltr) is a highly effective solution specifically developed for treating resistant skin and gill worms in ornamental fish. Using the latest scientific research, this product contains potent antihelminthics such as Nitroscanate and Flubendazole, which remain effective against resistant parasites. It is particularly successful in treating skin flukes (Gyrodactylus) and gill flukes (Dactylogyrus), which can only be identified through microscopic examination. Symptoms of these infections include lethargy, rubbing against surfaces, and loss of appetite.

Note: For anchor worms, fish lice, or leech infestations, use Lernex (without Pro).

Determining Pond Volume:

Accurately calculate the pond’s volume before treatment. Use the formula:

• Length × Width × Average Depth × 1000 = Volume in Litres.

Water Quality:

For optimal results and faster recovery, ensure good water quality. Test the water before and after treatment and make necessary adjustments.

Dosage:

• 1ml per 20 litres of pond water.
• If necessary, repeat treatment after 14 days.
• Ensure proper pond aeration during treatment to maintain sufficient oxygen levels.
• Slowly add the measured dose to a high-flow area, such as near the filter or pump outflow.

Important: Remove carbon and zeolite during treatment. Switch off UV lamps and ozone systems for one week after the final treatment.

Post-Treatment Care:

• 48 hours after the last dose, apply Colombo Fish Protect to safeguard the fish’s mucus layer and remove any medication remnants.
• Boost fish appetite and recovery by adding Vita-Spray to their food.

Warnings:

• Parasite activity may initially increase, causing fish to flash or jump out of the pond. Monitor fish closely during and after treatment.
• This product is for ornamental pond fish only. Store it out of reach of children in a dry, dark place between 4°C and 32°C.
• Avoid inhaling or allowing contact with eyes and skin. Close the packaging securely after use.

Effects on Other Animals:

• While the effect on frogs, salamanders, and other aquatic animals is unclear, fish-safe water is generally safe for pets drinking from the pond. However, it’s advisable to provide alternate drinking water for pets during treatment.

Natural Decomposition:

• The treatment will naturally break down through oxidation and bacterial decomposition.

Product Combinations:

• There should be a 2-week waiting period between using Morenicol Lernex and Morenicol Alparex.
• Combining this product with others is at your own risk.

Water Temperature:

• Since fish parasites are cold-blooded, their metabolism slows in colder water. Below 10°C, Lernex Pro may not be effectively absorbed by the parasites. For optimal results, increase the water temperature.

Skin and Gill Worms:

• Skin worms (Gyrodactylus) and gill worms (Dactylogyrus) were once uncommon but are now frequently encountered. Gyrodactylus reproduces rapidly and causes skin irritation, while Dactylogyrus damages the gills. In recent years, many skin flukes have become resistant to traditional antihelminthics like triclabendazole and levamisole. Morenicol Lernex Pro combats these resistant flukes with a unique combination of Nitroscanate, Flubendazole, and Praziquantel, ensuring effective treatment at low concentrations with just one treatment.
