Lincolnshire Fish Health Envirex
Biological Pond Cleaner naturally enhances pond hygiene, reduces maintenance, inhibits algae growth, and prevents blanket weed. Maintaining clean ponds makes our hobby more enjoyable, as koi thrive in an optimal environment.
By breaking down solid waste and lowering levels of ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, phosphate, and other harmful substances in pond water, Envirex helps reduce the need for frequent filter cleaning, vacuuming, and general maintenance. Although it doesn’t kill blanket weed or algae like chemical treatments, regular use can inhibit their growth.
Customizing the Dose:
Regular use of Envirex is essential to see its full benefits, and it’s safe because it’s non-chemical. The dose can be adjusted based on the number of fish and how much they are fed, rather than the total water volume. For example, if your fish produce more waste one week due to heavy feeding, you can use Envirex two or three times that week, then return to the normal schedule the following week.
First-Time Use Instructions:
Before adding Envirex to your pond or filter, mix it with water until it becomes milky in consistency.
- For new ponds: Use 80 grams per 1,000 gallons.
- For mature ponds: Use 40 grams per 1,000 gallons.
Allow a few days for the product to settle.
Regular Application:
Once settled, start using Envirex weekly. For ponds with low stocking density, apply 5 grams per 1,000 gallons every 4-7 days. Overstocked ponds or those with water quality problems may need 15-20 grams per 1,000 gallons. Since Envirex is a natural product, overdosing is impossible, and it can be used throughout the year. If you stop using it in winter, re-seed the pond in spring with the initial dose. There is no need to switch off UV sterilisers, and the product does not interfere with pond medications.
