Auto-Ready Design: Nexus 220+ filters come “auto-ready” with pre-installed fixings, streamlining the process of upgrading to the Nexus Automatic Cleaning System.
How the Nexus+ Filter Works
The Nexus+ filter integrates innovative biological and mechanical filtration functionalities. Pond water enters via the inlet into the inner chamber, creating a vortex effect that allows larger solids to settle out. The water then traverses the Eazy filter, where the static bed of K1 Micro filter media efficiently removes finer particles in the mechanical filtration stage.
Clean water from the mechanical stage proceeds to the outer chamber, housing the new K+ Advanced Filter Media moving bed for biological treatment. Beneficial bacteria on the vast surface area of each K+ media piece break down harmful substances like Ammonia and Nitrite into less harmful Nitrate, ensuring a healthier pond environment.
