• Advanced K+ Media: Engineered through extensive research, K+ Media can filter particles as small as one micron. It is also enriched with minerals to accelerate media maturation, ensuring optimal water quality.

How the Tempest Filter Works:

Water is pumped upwards through the Tempest filter, where the K+ Media rises to the top and forms a mechanical barrier that traps debris. During the cleaning cycle, the pump is turned off, slide valves are closed, and the waste valve is opened. This draws air into the filter, mixing with the water to create a chaotic movement that dislodges trapped waste. The dirty water is then expelled through the waste line, leaving clean media behind.

Installation Examples:

The Tempest filter is highly adaptable and can be installed in various setups. The optimal flow rate is 5,000 LPH (1,100 GPH / 1,320 US GPH), with a maximum flow rate of 7,500 LPH (1,650 GPH / 1,980 US GPH). For larger systems that require a higher flow rate, multiple Tempest filters can be connected in a modular configuration.
